Lake Faak with its turquoise-blue water is a natural wonder with the best conditions for swimming and gentle water sports. The water - up to 28° warm in summer - is of the highest quality in terms of purity and freshness. The water in the lake is renewed every 1.8 years! THE LAKE ROCKS FESTIVAL- SUP ALPS TROPHY May 14th-17th 2026
From May 14th-17th, we will once again be the base camp for ‘The lake rocks Festival’ - the SUP Alps Trophy. The best SUP athletes in the world will show off their skills in long-distance, speed and technical competitions, learn from the SUP pros, test the latest SUPs and take part in FUN competitions! Look forward to live music on our restaurant terrace!
OUR PEDAL BOATS AND ROWING BOATS
If you don't want to spend the whole day in the water, you can take our pedal boats and rowing boats for an enjoyable trip across the lake and enjoy the summer. Price pedal boat: 1/2 hour € 10, 1 hour € 16. Price rowing boat: 1 hour 15 €.
Experienced swimmers can swim from our campsite to the island in the lake (300 metres).
And many children have already learnt how to ‘Köpfeln’ (pike jump) from our jetty. Kayaking, surfing and sailing: Lake Faak is a paradise for all kinds of water sports.
SUP RENTAL
You can hire your stand-up paddle (S.U.P) conveniently from us on site. Hire your S.U.P for half a day or a whole day! Up to 5 hours: € 25, from 5 hours: € 40. Hire from 8.15 to 20.00
KAYAK COURSES
We offer a 2-hour kayak course twice a week in July and August (for a fee).
The Kärnten Therme spa
8 kilometres from our campsite is the Kärnten Therme. It is the most modern thermal spa in Austria with fun slides and tyre rides, a large sports pool and a wonderful sauna and wellness area. With the free ErlebnisCARD of the region you get 1x2 hours free per stay and person from 16.00. Let yourself be pampered!
Canoeing on the Drau river
